Community Project Work

Community Project Work is a vital component of YSC work. Community Project Work includes a range of strategies and activities including:

• Community Capacity Building
• Community and Professional Education
• Community Relationship Building
• Community Resourcing
• Community Service Development

A young person who is experiencing difficulties in their life is more able to continue at school when the school community and the broader community is able to support this young person either directly or indirectly.

Community and professional education

By highlighting a common issue faced by young people in the local area, the YSC is providing increasing people's knowledge on the topic and increasing the communities' awareness to the issues faced by young people. 

Community engagement

Community engagement activities focus on enhancing existing service systems.

Community development

The foundation of all successful capacity building and community development is to work with locally identified issues and support local people to get involved.
