This Homelessness Week QYHC met with organisations from around the State for the first of many state-wide networking forums. This breakfast was an opportunity to provide an overview of the role of the Coalition and detail our two major project as well as to discuss our thoughts about an engagement and communication strategy.
The services that attended were from Townsville (Sharehouse), Rockhampton (Darumbal), Sunshine Coast (IFYS), Logan (YFS), Ipswich (ICYS), Toowoomba (The Haven), Gold Coast (Gold Coast Youth Service), QYHC management committee members and our host Morrie OÇonnor (CLA). There were apologies from Cairns (Youthlink) and Mt Isa (YPA).
We hope this is the first of many opportunities to meet with services and young people to discuss how we can assist the Queensland government in the delivery of the Queensland Housing Strategy.
