Jack is a proud Torres Strait Islander man originating from Badu Island in the Western Region of the Torres Straits. He joined IBA Enterprises in 2014 and currently is the Team Leader of their Business Solutions program; leading the team of seasoned business and finance professionals across the eastern states of Australia.

Nikki Chenoweth is a descendant from the Guugu Yimitrir, Nymal Naymal and Kalkadoon Aboriginal language groups.

Nikki is also the manager of Breakthru. She grew up in a suburban Brisbane home with 18 family members.

At this year’s forum, Nikki will talk about the factors that led her out of poverty.

Maria has a long-standing commitment to working in the not-for-profit sector on social justice issues. She has been employed in a range of positions from direct practice, with a focus on housing and homelessness, through to organisational management.

This grounded experience has enabled Maria to undertake a range of project and policy work and to share this knowledge and advocate in a range of community and public settings.

Sarah Al Maisary is a passionate young women who loves helping people to start achieving and working towards their goals. Sarah is passionate about self-development, beauty, health & well-being.

Sarah is currently working as a disability support worker, and commencing study for her Cert III in disability and working towards achieving her start up business.

Jasmine Lind is the Program Coordinator for Wesley Mission Queensland’s Logan Youth Foyer Support Service and has worked in the housing and homelessness sector for 15 years.

Jennifer Thomas is the Executive President of The Services Union. She has extensive experience in developing campaigns to assist workers to realise their goals within the workplace. Jennifer has worked in the Union Movement for more than 17 years, 16 of which have been with The Services Union.

Jennifer is passionate about member training and The Services Union is committed to investing in the education of our Workplace Delegates to achieve this.

Derek Oram is a self taught didgeridoo “Yidaki” player that has been playing for over 10 years.

Derek’s rhythms represent “Yuggera” which is the local language group of the Brisbane region. Listen closely for sounds of the Storm Bird “Toowong”, the laughing Kookaburra “Kakawan” and many more native Australian animals.

Derek aims to take you on a journey through ancient country with the highest vibrational frequency through the “Yidaki”.

Wayne Deininger is a tenant of Wesley Mission Logan Youth Foyer.

Wayne is the Chairman of the leadership team at Wesley Mission Logan Youth Foyer which consists of a group of young people from LYFSS who volunteer to assist with the service planning, delivery, policy, events and more.

Brisbane Local Chang Po Ching has been singing and performing in the music scene for around ten years as an artist and songwriter.

Featuring on last years ‘The Voice’ Chang stole the attention of many receiving a 4 chair turn during his amazing audition.
